phpNewsManager & phpWebMagazine Quoestions

Hia, I have got a first solution for the pnews-problem...
In the code some fields to submit are missing, so the error occurs.
In pnews.php in SubmitNews-section in the INSERT-TO-line after
>> ... ´$ar[tekst]´...<< should end in the following:
>> [...] ´$ar[tekst]´,´$ar[story]´,0,1,´uk´ )" ) or die(".myError1" ); <<

Arite, what i want to do is, basically have a news page, and a member column page, where there news goes on one page, and the member columns go on another page. What i was thinking is, seperate them on each page by assigning each a category, and having each page seperate by category, so news categories go on the news page, and the column category goes on the columns page.

thats the first thing, also, how do i add a comments thing.. so people who read the news can leave comments.

btw, i have the newman library thing, that doesnt help me the least bit. =D

link works in preview but doesn´t work message textfield
PHP Newsmanager and PHP Web magazine

when i add news and i putt a link (email or www) in the preview tektfield it works fine.

When i putt a link in the message textfield the link doesn´t work.

Can anybody tell me how i can fix that?

Error PHP webmagazine
I have installed the PHP Newsmanager and the PHP Webmagazine. You can test it on [LINK]

I have 2 problems:

When you open the page there seems to be an error on line 201 Char 186

When you login with your username and password you are seposed to be able to submit news. For some reasen it doesn´t work.

I think the problem is with box which show random news. Maybe try to remove from index.php function called ShowScrollNews(....); and test it again

Isn´t this scrolnews reliable?
I haven´t changed anything an today it seems to work ok.
Do you advise me to delete the scrolnews. Do you think the problems come back again??

When I add news and select not only a section but also a story the news appears also under the selected story. So far OK.

When I afterwards edit the news and choose NOT to show it as a story, Nothing happens. The news still appears as a story.

Version: 1.45
Supported platforms: PHP3/4, LINUX, Windows
Released date: 05.05.2003

and i made the chmods correctly then i run the intall.php i fill the gaps then I get an error this

FILE db.inc.php MUST HAVE PERMISSION SET TO MODE 666!!

i cant do anything

I check it 10000 times... but its wrong.
plz somebody help me....

I have phpNewsmanager and phpWebmagazine installed on my Windows server. Everthing seems to work great :smile: . The only problem I have is that when I fill in a random username and password I can write comments to news postings. So registering isn´t needed.

The demo versions v1.00 and v1.10 also have this problem.

Does anybody else has this problem? And does anybody know how to fix it?

I wrote a message at newsposting 121 in de v1.10 demo.

Question regarding a ´gid´ error:
Recieving this error on /newman/pictures.php: LINE 42:Unknown column ´gid´ in ´where clause´

symptoms - I create a gallery and go to check my database. The database indicates the gallery is added.
However, I ftp to newman/gfx/gallery/ and the new folder is NOT present.

I then go to pictures, and add a picture to the new gallery. error free.

I proceed to browse to pictures.php and select the newly created gallery and press ´show´ and that is when i recieve a blank page with: Add picture LINE 42:Unknown column ´gid´ in ´where clause´
The add picture link works fine ...but no pictures are visible

They ARE being listed, but are all showing up in the root directory. NOT in the newly created sub gallery folder as directed.

Thoughts please? and thank you for a fine piece of software... LOVE the crispness! :sb

Apache 2.0
Windows XP (I know, I know)

Apache & PHP work ok.
When I run the install for the newsmanager, I receive the following:

I am stumped. I can´t chmod in Windows XP (I don´t think I have to on a FAT32 partition) but should I try CYGWIN anyway?

My db.inc.php file is not being written to either.

Any help or insight will be greatly appreciated.
