The DivX Player is the official player application for DivX(tm) content. The DivX codec (compressor-decompressor) is an extremely high quality, MPEG-4 based video codec that is gaining popularity as the "MP3 of video."
You may use the DivX Player to play content encoded in versions 3.11 alpha and later of the DivX codec.
