www.ambientdesign.com artrage is a realy cool free program alowing users to make digital paintings simulating oil, pencil, crayon, and more, when you use the tracing paper option you can easily convert any picture into a painting. using its auto color chooser you just click and drag, now even you can be an artist! :p

over 1 million downloads of free version, cheap strong registered one supporting multilayer and psd, wow. Especially for oil and canvas like effects. Wonder about the file format they talk about and whether it makes normal image formats but I am sure thats not an issue. GREAT input for growing into these things. Thank you

with the vesion I have you can only save in one propritary format, however I use ultimate paint to capture the images to another so "restrictions n/A " for me. :p
