Thank you and for the fav, Richard. This photo was taken in a bed and breakfast bedroom last November on a snowy day in Red Wing , MN. The flower was in a vase on a dark wood table near a window. Th background was very dark so the flower itself was about the only thing to reflect any light from the window. The shot was taken hand held at 1/10sec., f2.8 and ISO 200 with a 100mm macro lens. At f2.8 the depth of field is very shallow making the background even darker. I was lucky to get anything in focus at 1/10sec. One trick that I use is black construction paper as a background.
