The original Merlin concept created by IBM envisioned a user interface that was more productive yet nicer looking than Windows while supporting an OO design. Ed Deans, one of the world's best UI designers looked at the Merlin concepts and transformed it into an actual working WindowBlinds skin, icon package, and wallpaper. Merlin, which was designed as IBM's answer to Windows, is ironically only available today on Windows via Object Desktop.
