Thanks very much for the comments. You are right, the shot is washed out. I took the photo through our patio window in the late afternoon facing west. I had the camera on a tripod with the lens sticking between vertical blinds. I could not see the subject, so my wife would tell me when the bird was close and I would trigger the shutter release. I never thought to adjust the contrast of the shot. Thanks again for the advice. I try to adjust and let you know the result. Happy
