Taken from a helicopter two summers ago. You are looking at the mansion area of Newport, Rhode Island. The Breakers, bottom right is the largest historic mansion in Newport. It's construction was funded by Cornelius Vanderbilt (1794-1877) who established his fortune in steamships and later in the New York Central Railroad. Past the mansions is downtown Newport, Newport Harbor & the Pell Bridge.
