Dracunculus
By mickeblueNot a great photo, but something of interest. I found a few shoots growing at the base of a scaffold on a construction site I was working on 8 years ago, being intrigued by the snakeskin pattern on the shoots I brought some home and planted them in the garden... this is what we got when they flowered... a type of Arum Lily named Dracunculus.
Downside is these things stink like dirty rags, and flies come from miles around to drown in the cup at the base of the flower ( yup! they're carnivorous ). I thought I'd got rid of them but three flowers have sprung up again this year hidden by other foliage, and I only spotted them today.
