Ghost Cars Passing

The idea is NOT mine, of course. I had read about the Harris Shutter [LINK] in a photography book and wanted to apply this interesting techique in my compact digital camera. I can tell you how I managed, if you want. Happy
EDIT: forgot to say that the base is a sequence of three photos of a moving object, with the camera absolutely steady!

With great pleasure, my friend! Happy
First of all, it is a good advise to use a tripod for the three shots, so as to obtain perfect alignment. Then you create a PSD with the three photos as seperate layers (use copy-paste). You go to the base layer and make it completely bluish by using the Levels command and setting Output Levels of Red and Green channels to 0 - 0. You do the same for the other two layers, making the middle layer completely greenish and the top layer completely redish. Finally, you change the mode of Green and Red channel from ´Normal´ to ´Lighten´ and that´s all. I have organized these commands to a simple action and all I have to do is to open the three photos and click a button. Wink

I´m very amazed with this technique, too! In fact, I´m going tomorrow with my tripod to shoot some passing trains and then convert sequences to ´rainbow like´ movement Wink
